Poem: Why cuss to get your point across?

Why

Cuss

To

Get

Your

Point

Across?

Why curse to be heard?

Did you really have to say that with that sentence?

Did

You

Really

Need

To

Add

That

Curse

Word?

Did you really have to say that in front of those two babies?

Did you really have to disrespect that lady?

Some kids cuss like sailors smoke in the navy

So many kids and adults cuss like crazy

It’s not like it’s your cuss words that amaze me

I’m not asking that you portray me

I’m just saying he was cussing up a storm, until I found out her name was Stacey

Oh yeah

Females be doing it too

Hearing female’s cuss is nothing new

Guys only cussing is all but true

Some started cursing at the age of two

Where does this come from?

When did it start?

Parents we got to catch this

Before it corrupts their little heart

Because once you start cussing

It can be so hard to stop

Some people act like it’s innocent

But it’s really not

If there was nothing wrong with it

Why can’t it be done in church?

Why do people use it to tare people down?

And to cause people hurt?

Why isn’t it allowed?

At your place of work?

Why is it taboo?

To wear profanity on shirts?

Why are children punished?

For putting up their middle finger?

How could cussing not be wrong but kids can’t talk to strangers?

How could it be okay to cuss?

Yet kids playing near a highway is considered danger?

Cussing used to be bad

What’s different now?

People say that times has changed

But changed like how?

What do you mean?

Like people being rebellious?

Influencing others to rebel also

No one else is gonna tell this

Kids used to get the same point across without the cursing

Because of their problems

They curse because their hurting

They think it’s making them popular

But that’s really not working

All we hear in our music these days

Is cursing sex and flirting

Where are the role models?

To say you don’t have to do this?

To be like by people

You don’t have to choose this

If you leave out the cuss words

People will still listen

In your life as your friend

People will still be wishen

People will still listen

People will still pay attention

You sound more intelligent

And you won’t face detention

You’ll actually be a leader

And you won’t face suspension

People will look up to you for real

If you’re saved no need to keep repenten

I mean,

Are those couple of words

Really gonna make a big difference?

Is it really gonna kill you

If those foul words were in disappearance?

Why cuss to be liked, when you can talk to be loved

Not only will people respect you

But you’ll be loved by God above

Growing up

I was cool with everybody

There was a time when I never cussed

And I was never considered a no body

What happened to people cussing and saying sorry?

Whatever happened to kids and adults not cussing?

Whatever happened to just talking?

Our past integrity, why are people not trusting?

Using foul language, why do people do it?

For cursing, why are people lusting?

You can use clean language and say the same thing

If your gonna cuss your better saying nothing

Cussing sounds illiterate

Foul languages sounds negative

You can still stop cussing

Even if you learned it from a relative

I haven’t used one cuss word

Yet this poem is fire

Just like there’s no need to cuss

There’s also no need to be a liar

Why lie when you don’t have to?

Why cuss when you don’t have to?

If you leave out cussing and lying

Your jokes people will still laugh too

If it’s funny it’s funny

And if it’s corny it’s corny

I was taught as a child that cussing was wrong

I thank God my parents informed me

I love to laugh

But I don’t have to prove nothing to nobody

Whether people like me or not

I know that I’m somebody

And

So

Are

You

If they don’t like you because you don’t cuss

It’s

Their

Loss

I didn’t cuss in this poem one time

Yet still,

I

Got

My

Point

Across

You don't have to cuss to be cool, just be you to be cool...

QUOTE OF THE MONTH:

Men and women don't quit... Men and women keep fighting until they win!

BIBLE SCRIPTURE:

Psalms 138:13-18

13. You (God) Created me completly; you knit me together

in my mother's womb.

14. I praise you because I am impressively and wonderfully made;

Your works are wonderful, I know that for sure.

15. My frame was not hidden from you (You were there the whole time) when

I was made in the secret place.

When I was woven together in the depths of the earth (From the dust of the ground)

16. Your eyes saw my unformed body.

All the days ordained for me were witten in your book

before my first breath came to be.

17. Your thoughts about me are precious, O God! There are many of them.

18. If I were to count the number of good thoughts you have about me,

they would outnumber the grains of sand.
